Digital Motion Designer

We are Tokyo – a digital agency with offices in London and Liverpool. Our client experience spans the tech, entertainment, automotive and retail industries and includes well known brands such as Google, Harrods, Cisco, Emirates, Volkswagen, BBC and adidas.

Tokyo is currently seeking a Motion Designer to create movement, excitement and add life to cross-platform digital experiences; ranging from micro-interactions to full screen transitions.

• Confident working in Adobe After Effects

• Ability to use motion design to animate with purpose and create delightful experiences, that also serve strategic purposes such as brand expression, accessibility, information and guidance

• Ability to storyboard and create animations such as preloaders, page transitions, cursor interactions, hover states, scrolling animations and more

• Ability to prepare, animate and export animations in After Effects and Lottie

• Ability to clearly articulate challenges and opportunities

• Ability to give and receive feedback from other designers and cross-disciplinary partners

• Intuitive to the needs of the clients, designers and cross-discipline teams

• Experience working within an Agile process

• Sharp eye for detail and an abundance of ideas

• Working with a cross-discipline team of product designers, developers and delivery managers to ensure delivery of high-quality products on time and on budget

• Understand clients’ design needs and work within those constraints

• Communicate design specifications with other designers and developers

• Clearly present various stages of motion design development, concepts and ideas to business owners, team members and stakeholders of all levels

• The ability to deal with pressure and can work in a fast-paced environment

• A collaborative working style and a positive attitude
