The role

We are looking for a Senior Front-End engineer to join our dynamic team and bring our client applications to life. You should be a passionate, enthusiastic individual, be highly motivated and willing to dive right into various projects. You’ll be collaboratively working with a well-established UX and Front-End delivery team across the full software development life cycle in a fast-agile environment. This role has excellent career progression opportunities in the future as the Company grows.

Job requirements

What you do

  • Work with UX Designers to ensure the products meet the standards the end user is looking for.

  • Translate requirements into elegant, scalable software solutions

  • Work closely with Backend developers on solutions.

  • Write maintainable, robust code, with test coverage all to best practises

  • Optimise web pages for maximum speed, scalability and security

  • Maintain existing code bases and further develop to enhance the offering to customers

  • Develop high-quality, responsive layouts with the user in mind

  • Input in the global CSS style framework to be used across all applications

  • Work in an agile, collaborative, multidisciplinary team


Required skills

  • Excellent JavaScript skills with good knowledge of Vanilla.js, Node.js, & React.js

  • Strong CSS compiler experience

  • Experience with web components

  • Experience with 11ty/SSGs (static site generators)

  • Experience with TDD/testing

  • A good understanding of progressive enhancement & accessibility

  • An understanding of lighthouse metrics and general frontend performance and optimization

  • Collaborate with other team members and higher management team

  • GIT Version Control knowledge
